Celebrating A New Cassadra Palmer Book For Karen Chance

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of a new Cassie Palmer adventure, HUNT THE MOON, the fifth book in NYT bestselling author Karen Chance's series.

Karen grew up in Orlando, Florida, the home of make-believe, which probably explains a lot. She has since resided in France, Great Britain, Hong Kong and New Orleans, mostly goofing off but occasionally teaching history. She is currently back in Florida courtesy of Katrina, where she continues to write while dodging hurricanes (and occasionally drinking a few).

HUNT THE MOON by Karen Chance

A Cassandra Palmer Book

Cassandra Palmer recently defeated a god, which you'd think would buy a girl a little time off. But it doesn't work that way when your new job description is Pythia - the world's chief clairvoyant.

Cassie is busier than ever, trying to learn about her power, preparing for her upcoming coronation, and figuring out her relationship with the enigmatic sexy master vampire, Mircea.

But someone doesn't want Cassie to become Pythia, and is willing to go to any lengths to make sure the coronation ceremony never happens - including attacking her mother before Cassie is even born.

  17. Congrats on finishing Hunt the Moon. I can't wait to read it. I know it will be worth the wait. My question is: Will Cassie and Dory be introduced? I hope they meet somewhere in either series. Cassie will probably be relieved that the photo album was full of Dory.
Thanks for the wonderful books Karen Chance :)

  24. Hi everyone!

Thanks for reading, or considering reading, my book! I've tried to answer everyone's questions below. If I left anything out, or if you think of something else, just visit my Facebook page and I'll be happy to answer you there.

DeNita: I have two series, both set in the same world. Hunt the Moon is part of the first, and centers around a time-traveling clairvoyant named Cassie Palmer. She is the Pythia, the chief seer of the supernatural world, or at least she's trying to be. But Cassie is having to learn about her new job in the middle of a war, and her allies are sometimes more problematic than her enemies! She's slowly coming into her own, though, and Hunt the Moon plays a key role in that. Hope you enjoy the madness!

Mary: I don't know which was the favorite. That's because I always hate them while I'm writing, and love them after all the hard work is over! But I think Hunt the Moon is one of the strongest in the series.

Elaing8: I try to make the books stand alone as much as possible, but they do work together to tell one big story. And therefore reading them out of order does make things mre difficult for you. I'd say that someone who reads a lot of fantasy might be able to do it and be okay, but you will have a certain amount of spoilers.

Shadow: I honestly have no idea! A warped brain maybe?

Nikki: Ah, but that would be telling!

Rae: I mangle French and destroy German. But that's about it!

Karen: I have 9 Cassie books planned, although that number is flexible depending on how many it takes to tell the whole story.

Annalisa: Actually, I really like the Russian cover for Touch the Dark. You can see it on my Facebook page.

Gidget: Yes, but not in Hunt the Moon--sorry! There jus wasn't room. You'll understand if you read it.

Robin: There's always some humor in my books, although some would say that it's a bit...strange.

Thanks everyone! Hope you love it!--KC
