Celebrating Jules Bennett's April Release

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of a new Harlequin Desire from Jules Bennett!

We all have passions, right?  Jules Bennett is one of the lucky ones who turned her passion into a career. Writing has always been a nice escape from reality for her and, let's face it, sometimes we all need to get away... even if the trip is in our own head.

Her other passions? She loves her husband and girls more than anything, they're the only things in her life she won't sell for a good pair of shoes or a nice handbag.

Speaking of shoes and purses, they are two more passions of Jules'.  She feels she can wear anything if she has the right accessories. And, yes, books are most definitely an accessory.

Jules loves to hear from readers! Snail mail her at PO Box 396 Minford, Oh 45653 or contact her through her website, facebook or twitter!

HER INNOCENCE, HIS CONQUEST by Jules Bennett

ALL WORK AND NO PLAY?

Architecture kingpin and expert playboy Zach Marcum knew exactly how to get what he wanted - both on the job and in the bedroom. Until sexy, independent and impossible-to-ignore Ana Clark charged into his life. Her construction company could make his luxury resort project a multi-million dollar reality, but he couldn't risk letting the career-driven siren slip past his defenses. Discovering she was a virgin made the seduction stakes even greater, as Zach crossed the line from business to pleasure...

  7. Thanks for the great Cyber Launch!

The new book is the follow-up from my October Desire, FROM BOARDROOM TO WEDDING BED? But, it can also be a stand alone, so don't worry if you haven't read the first:)

The hero, Zach, is an architect who hates suits and sitting behind the desk. He's a hands on, Harley riding, tattoo wearing hottie:)

This book was SO fun to write!

As for what I'm working on now, I've just contracted another Desire that will be set around the glitz and glamour of Hollywood movies! Fun, fun!

  11. Mel S, I normally decide what to write next while writing the previous book. I'll have a spark of an idea that won't fit into the current book I'm working on, so I'll save it for the next:)

My favorite genre to read is Romantic Suspense and Contemporary.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  12. Mary, my time depends on my girls' schedules. I have a 3 & 5 year old, so I never know what's going on:)

I tend to get in about 8-10 hours (not all at once) per day.

  13. Jen B, oh yeah:) He's a sweetie at heart and very protective of his own sister, so you know he has a soft spot.

I've gotten SO many reader compliments on Zach. He's a fave of all my heroes so far! Hope you enjoy him:)

  14. Kathleen, thanks so much! I hope you enjoy the romance:)

  15. Hello Jules!
Did you approach the heroine differently because she is a virgin? Was she easier to write or more difficult than an experienced heroine? I think the story sounds awesome! Congratulations on your new release!

  16. I did have to make her a bit different. She'd been around cocky men all her life and her father did not set the best example. So, she'd just never had an interest before Zach:)

They were so much fun to write and when Zach realizes what he's dealing with, his charm turns on all the more!

my questions is well personal...How many pair of shoes do you own...and how many acutally have been worn once?

that seems to be the question people ask me so from one shoe ho to the other just curious

  19. Congratulations with your latest book release. Do you select your cover from a wide variety or is it selected by the publisher? If you do not think it fits the reading material how much say so do you have to deny and reselect?
    Thanks

  20. Chele,
I'm not sure how many I own. At one time I owned well over 100 and I have to say, I don't own any that have been a one hit wonder. I love my shoes and give all of them attention:)

  21. Dave, Harlequin has an Art Department that is in charge of covers. I don't know what I'm going to get until they e-mail it to me. I've loved every cover I received!

  22. Hi Jules,
Congrats on your new release. I have to disagree about the right accessories. I don't have to wear anything to read a book. Books are a necessity. My question is how to you manage to balance writing and being a mom. I had a hard time thinking let alone creating when my kids were younger.

  27. Glitz and glamor - how are you going to research that? Do you get to go on a set or something like that?

  28. Leni, I tend to read romantic suspense. I love them and can't read enough of them. I also devour the Desire books because I've gotten so close with those amazing ladies and I want to support them:)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Donna, I've never known any other way than to juggle writing and being a mom. It's hard, I won't lie, but I love both jobs and wouldn't trade for anything:)

  30. Martha, thanks so much! I hope you enjoy:)

  31. Crystal GB, thanks so much! Great seeing you here:)

  32. Jane, this is the month for the new name, so it'll take some time for everyone to get used to it:)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Debby, I'd LOVE to get on a set! I'm doing major research and I've contacted a producer to discuss movies and layout:)

  34. Congratulations!! The phrase "expert playboy" conjures up all sorts of thoughts. It tells me about this character in a heartbeat.

    marypres@gmail.com

  35. Thanks, Marybelle! Zach is an "expert playboy" but he has a soft spot for his family and Ana. He's a man to easily fall in love with...it's a shame he's just fiction:)

  36. Sounds like a fun read! I went over and checked out your website. Very Classy. Love the Author Accessories! So is Kayla's story up next? And just how did someone that loves shoes and purses write a heroine that doesn't spend on the frills?

    lynda98662@yahoo.com

    ReplyDelete
  37. LOL!It's so hard not to make every heroine just like me who's in love with shoes, purses, hats, jewelry...
Kayla's story is not up next. My next story will be set in Hollywood around glitz, glamour and the movies (I'm loving this research). I'm hoping to get Kayla's story out, though:)

  38. Hi, Jules! Your book sounds like so much fun--I can't wait to read it.
I think research is as important in a contemporary story as in a historical one. Did you have someone in the construction industry that you could talk to in order to get the inside scoop? Or did you just pick someone out of a phone book and call them for an interview?

    ReplyDelete
  39. LOL! Saralee, I didn't choose the phone book, but that's a great idea:)

Actually my husband has a job where he works with contractors everyday and bids projects. So since he knows quite a bit of the process, I asked him most of my questions and what he didn't know, he could direct me to someone who did.
