MORE ADVENTURES OF MAX DAILY by Alex J. Alex

It's 1969. Max has been home from Viet Nam for a year now and he takes another trip. Last year he went across the country to California and back, meeting fascinating women every place he stopped. This year he travels the Old South and meets even more women that are fascinating. You decide whether 1969 is better than 1968 was.

  1. Morning Alex and what a great way to start off the new year...with a brand new release!

    WOW - great cover, btw!!!

For those not familar with your Max Daily books, tell us a bit about him and how the two books fit together (do they need to be read in order?).

And how many more books do you have planned for Max.

Hope the new book is your best seller yet!!!

  2. Max returns from Vietnam in 1968 and heads out to see the country in his old 1954 Lincoln convertable. In the first book, he drives across the country, stopping and spending time with some of the sexiest women in the country. In the latest book, he heads to the southeast and dallies with several more even more sexy women. The Max daily books are almost like a sexy travellog, and it's always a lot of fun.

  3. Hi Alex! What made you decide to set your books in 1968 and 1969?

  4. It's not necessary to read the books in any particular order. In fact, each chapter can stand on its own as a story.

  5. The books are set in the late sixties because that's the time I returned from Vietnam. The books are semi-autobiographical, except, I was never as lucky as Max. I met my wife in college during 1973, it was love at first sight, and we're still married. We're still best friends, too.

  6. I've got several more Max Daily books planned. In the next one he'll probably go to New England and maybe upstate New York.

  9. I love your description of what your book is about...a sexy travelogue. An interesting concept that allows for many books....and I'm happy to know there are more books on the horizon.

What made you want to write in this genre and have you had any problems of being a man in a predominantly woman's world?

  10. Estella, it started out as a short story about my experiences just after returning from Vietnam. I was at the beach (Charleston, SC), and was just being lazy. I guess I had nothing else to do, and I've always liked writing, and, of coures, it's more fun to write about what you know. After the beginning, at the encouragement of a publisher who never published the book, it just grew.

  12. Thank you Joder. I hope you enjoy the first two, and there will be more. As far as being as man writing in a field which is mostly populated by women, good question. I've never had a problem, though. I've written most of my books as a narrator and not from a man's point of view. However, one book, THE HOMECOMING -FIRST CONTACT is in the first person from a man's point of view. Many of my readers find my writing different from my feminine colleagues, which makes my books quite interesting and a refreshing change.
